Cairndhu's Club Professional is Stephen Hood who joined the club in January 2006.

Stephen is originally an East Antrim lad who played his amateur golf at Fortwilliam Golf Club where he enjoyed success in winning the Ulster Boys Championship. He progressed to represent Ireland at boys' youth and senior level before turning professional in 1997.

His first professional job was at the Galway Golf Centre where he stayed for two years before moving to the prestigious surroundings of County Sligo Golf Club.

Stephen is a past winner of the Irish Assistants' Championship and has been runner-up in six Irish PGA events.

Stephen has an excellent reputation as a teacher and he offers lessons to suit all abilities.

Adult lessons start at £15 for half an hour or £28 for an hour with playing lessons also available at £25 for 3 holes, £35 for 6 holes and £45 for 9 holes.

Junior lessons start at £12 for half an hour or £20 for an hour. There is also a Junior Golf Ireland coaching programme available for members and non-members at £35 per person, based on eight lessons.

In the well-stocked pro's shop at Cairndhu,you will find all leading brands of golf equipment and apparel including crested clothing. Stephen also offers a comprehensive "custom fitting service".
